Remote roles from Hacker News, by age

Remote jobs from the Hacker News "Who is hiring?" thread and HN job stories. Also the Ashby, Greenhouse and Lever boards of companies that posted in the last three threads. Roles from the last seven days sit under first hour, last 24 hours and this week.

New rows since the last visit get a tick, in that browser. A filter takes words and a minus: go, backend, -onsite. Each row links to the original post or job board. No account.

Between threads the list can be boards alone.

why it exists

The Hacker News hiring thread is a good source of open roles. It comes as a burst and sinks fast, with every role in one long page of comments.

Being early counts. firsthour gives each role a row and an age, newest first.

what it taught

The burst can be counted. In the August, September and October 2026 threads, 58 to 69% of remote postings landed in the first 24 hours.

The first hour took 9 to 13% of remote postings.

Source is public.
